Flagstar Bank Settles Data Breach Lawsuit for $31.5 Million Flagstar Bank has agreed to a $31.5 million class action settlement over claims it failed to prevent two data breaches in 2021, impacting the personal information of over 2 million consumers, including approximately 364,000 in California. The settlement allows affected individuals to claim up to $25,000 for documented losses related to the breaches, plus additional payments based on the number of claimants. California residents can receive an extra $100. All class members are eligible for three years of free credit monitoring. The deadline for claims is August 11, 2026, with the final approval hearing set for October 1, 2026.
