Bank of America Settles Epstein Lawsuit for $72.5 Million Bank of America has agreed to a $72.5 million settlement in a lawsuit filed by women accusing the bank of facilitating their sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein. The settlement, which requires approval from U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff, was reached to provide financial relief to the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs' lawyers may seek up to 30% of the settlement for legal fees. Bank of America maintains it did not facilitate sex trafficking crimes but settled to move past the matter. Similar lawsuits resulted in settlements of $290 million with JPMorgan Chase and $75 million with Deutsche Bank.
