Credit One Bank Settles Lawsuit for $10.2 Million Over Calls Credit One Bank has agreed to pay $10.2 million to settle a lawsuit filed by a group of California district attorneys. The lawsuit accused the bank of making excessive debt collection calls to consumers, including those who did not have accounts with the bank. This settlement comes three years after the Ninth Circuit ruled that district attorneys have the authority to sue banks over such practices.
