Visa, MasterCard Settle Fraud Risk Lawsuit for $199.5 Million Visa Inc. and MasterCard International Corp. have agreed to pay a total of $199.5 million to settle a nearly decade-old class action lawsuit. The suit accused the credit card companies of conspiring to shift fraud risk costs onto merchants. The settlement was filed in New York federal court.
