Marquis Software Data Breach Exposes 250,000 Individuals' Personal Information Marquis Software Solutions, a marketing and compliance software provider for over 700 banks and credit unions, suffered a data breach after a ransomware group exploited a SonicWall firewall vulnerability on August 14, 2025. The breach exposed personal information of at least 250,000 individuals, potentially including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and financial details. Marquis notified affected clients between October 27 and November 25, and some credit unions have begun notifying impacted customers. The company has since enhanced security measures. It's unclear if a ransom was paid, and no specific ransomware group has been attributed to the attack.
